SM Entertainment's Chinese R&B soloist: Jang Ri In, which is her Korean name, was born February 28, 1989 in Chengdu, Sichuan. She's speaking both Chinese, which is her first language, and Korean. She was so accustomed to classical, American, and European music that she claimed she never listened to children songs when she was a child. In fact, her parents are musicians. At the age of 3, Zhang began to learn a violin, and she's still playing it. At the age of 9, she began to show her musical ability when she sang Celine Dion's My Heart Will Go On. Zhang was discovered when Beijing partners informed the head of Korean talent agency SM Entertainment of a young talent. Later on, Zhang moved to Korea and started training at the age of 14.
